The Buckeyes, who held the top spot in January and early February had been replaced by Kansas, who surrendered its top spot to Duke a week ago.

However, with most of the top teams – including last week’s top ranked Blue Devils – suffering defeats at some point in the closing week, Ohio State, who received 45 first-place votes and a total of 1,602 points from a nationwide media panel – took back the No. 1 spot.

Kansas Jayhawks jumped to second after receiving 14 No. 1 votes tally 1,554 points, while the BYU Cougars moved from seventh to third, with Duke slipping from first to fourth, tied with the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Purdue, Texas, Notre Dame, San Diego State and Wisconsin completed the top ten

St. John’s were again on the move after moving up from 23rd to 15th.
