London, England (Sporting Alert) — English Premier League side Chelsea is set to make a major clear-out in the summer with several of the club’s key players, including Didier Drogba set to leave.

There have been rumours that the club now wants to develop youths and the likes of Drogba, John Obi Mikel and even Florent Malouda could be heading out the door to help pay back the £75 million for new recruits Fernando Torres and David Luiz.

Drogba has not been having the same kind of season like he did last term and the recent acquire of Torres for a record £50 million from Liverpool in January once again raise speculations that the Ivory Coast international might be playing his last season with the Blues.

Meanwhile, Obi Mikel has been struggling to win a consistent place in the side after the signing of Ramires, while Malouda’s form has dipped after his quick start.

Despite the reports, Chelsea are yet to confirm or deny the claims – preferring to wait until the end of the season to talk any business.
