Spurs (57-13), which will be playing without All-Star forward Tim Duncan, take on the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center, a venue in which the hosts have won its last three games.
Duncan picked up a sprained left ankle injury on Monday, but x-rays and an MRI confirmed that he does not have structural damage.
The forward, however, is on crutches and is expected to miss at least three games as he continues to be evaluated.
San Antonio has won three in a row and six of its last seven games overall.
The Nuggets (42-29), meanwhile, are four games behind fourth-place Oklahoma City and one game ahead of Portland.
The team, which has won seven in a row at the Pepsi Center and is fifth in the West – is 10-4 since trading Carmelo Anthony to New York.
