Miami holds off Boston to win two-straight

MIAMI, FL (Sporting Alert) — Rookie Norris Cole hit some big buckets down the stretch in his 20 point outing for the Miami Heat (2-0) in the 115-107 win over the Boston Celtics (0-2) on Tuesday.

Cole, who scored 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, shot 50-percent from the field and also had four assists, four rebounds and three steals in the win for the Heat.

LeBron James top scored with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Dwyane Wade added 24 points, eight assists and four blocks for Miami.

Chris Bosh finished with 18 and 11 rebounds, while Udonis Haslem had 12 boards for the Miami Heat, who at one point led by 20 points, but saw its lead twice cut to three in the closing minutes of the contest.

Veteran guard Ray Allen led the way for Boston with 28 points, including 6 for 8 from three-point.

Rajon Rondo collected 22 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, while Keyon Dooling supported with 13 off the bench.

Boston were again without captain and star forward Paul Pierce, who is still out with a heel injury.
