(Sporting Alert) — The excitement has arrived and the NBA preseason tips-off on Friday night with four games.
Derrick Rose and Chicago Bulls will take on the Indiana Pacers in a game that will be televised live on WGN at 7:00pm ET.
Also on the list of matches that are down for Friday are the Cleveland Cavaliers against the former champions the Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers against the Washington Wizards and the Chris Paul-less New Orleans Hornets against the Memphis Grizzles.
Eyes will be focus on No. 1 draft pick Kyrie Irving, who could take over as point guard for the team, after the experienced guard Baron Davis was waived by the Cavaliers, using their amnesty clause.
But Cleveland Cavaliers coach Byron Scott is yet to decide.
“I think he’s ready,” Scott was quoted as saying of the former Duke Blue Devils star. “I think he can definitely play. But if I’m ready to give him the ball?
“When will I know? Probably Dec. 25. I’ll let you know on the 26th.”
