NBA preseason scores: Wins for Bulls, Thunder and Nuggets

(Sporting Alert) — The Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunders all registered NBA preseason victories on Wednesday night.

There were also wins for the Chicago Bulls and Denver Nuggets on the the busy night of action.

At the United Center, Carlos Boozer scored 24 points and seven rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 93-85 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Luol Deng had 14 points and seven boards, while star point guard Derrick Rose added 12 points and nine assists.

Richard Hamilton scored 13 points in his debut as the Bulls finished 2-0 against the Pacers in the short preseason.

Tyler Hansbrough led Indiana with 24 points and 13 boards, while Danny Granger added 12 points in the defeat. David West had eight points in his first game in a Pacers jersey.

At the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, the Pistons edged the Cavaliers 90-89, with Austin Daye finishing with 19 points and Rodney Stuckey got 15.

Greg Monroe and Will Bynum each had 12 points.

Omri Casspi scored 18 points to lead the Cavaliers, who led the game with seconds left on the clock. Antawn Jamison had 13, while Anthony Parker (12) and Kyrie Irving (11) were the other main contributors.

Elsewhere, the Oklahoma City Thunder completed a 2-0 preseason sweep over the Dallas Mavericks, following the 87-83 result.

Denver Nuggets beat the Phoenix Suns 127-111 in their opening preseason game at the Pepsi Center, with Ty Lawson scoring 21 points for the winners.
