Preseason NBA stats: The stats after brief campaign

MIAMI (Sporting Alert) — Following the conclusion of the exhibition fixtures, here are some of the preseason NBA stats from the 2011-2012 campaign.

Leading all scorers in the brief preseason was the Golden State Warriors David Lee, who average 23 points from the two games, following his 30 points and 16 points performances against the Sacramento Kings.

The Miami Heat star LeBron James also averaged 23 points in the series against the Orlando Magic, while the Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love finished with 21.5, the same as Tyler Hansbrough of the Indiana Pacers, while the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin finished with 21.

And as expected, Love, with his tallied 31 rebounds, finished top with an average of 15.5 per game. He was followed by Hansbrough (12), Andrew Bynum , LA Lakers ( 11.5), Spencer Hawes (PHI, 11.0) and Lee (GSW, 10.5).

Andre Miller (DEN) finished with the best assist average, at 11, with LA Clippers guard Chris Paul (9.5) and Jameer Nelson of the Orlando Magic (8.5), rounding out the top three. Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo dished out 14 assists in his two games.

The Miami Heat, at .503, finished with the best field goal scoring average, while the Denver Nuggets finished with the best points average, at 118.5, leading the Clippers, at 111. The Nuggets also led the way in assists and rebounds, while the Timberwolves led the way in 3-point percentage.
