Jamaica v Combined C&C, Netherlands v Sussex: Live Caribbean T20

North Sound, Antigua (Sporting Alert) — Jamaica will bow into action against the Combined Campuses and Colleges as action continues in the Caribbean T20 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua on Tuesday.

Also playing in Group B on Tuesday is the clash between Netherlands and English County side Sussex.

The Jamaican squad will not include hard hitting opener Chris Gayle, but will still possess a very strong and entertaining lineup in the tournament.

The David Bernard Jnr-led team will look to the likes of Marlon Samuels, Nikita Miller (vice-capt), Danza Hyatt, Andre Russell, Carlton Baugh Jnr, Odean Brown, and Krishmar Santokie to lead a squad, which has a number of first timers

“We have to work together as a team and that has been a theme for a while now,” leading left-arm spinner Miller said in the Jamaica Observer.

“The other successful teams in the T20 format play well together and we have to do that if we are going to be successful.

“I’ve been playing for a while now and it’s part of my job to guide the youngsters as much as I can. Hopefully I can impart whatever knowledge I’ve picked up over the years playing at this level or even at the international level.”

Ryan Austin, Romel Currency and Floyd Reifer will the  Combined Campuses and Colleges team.

Meanwhile, in the day’s early game Netherlands and Sussex will look to get off the mark in the group with a victory.
