LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Frank Lampard scored a vital winner for Chelsea in their English Premier League (EPL) win over Wolves on Monday, but was left stunned afterward, reports said.
According to The Sun newspaper, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas gave Lampard the silent treatment after the game, which came as a shock to the entire team.
Apparently Villas-Boas was upset that the England international did not joined in with his teammates when they all rushed over to the sidelines to celebrate Ramires’ opener in the second half with him.
HAPPY TO SCORE AND PLAY THE FULL 90-MINUTES
Lampard has been in and out of the Chelsea starting lineup and he was just delighted to return to regular action.
He also took the time to stay back and thanked the traveling fans for their support.
“It’s brilliant to score the winning goal. The team and the fans who travelled up to the game deserved it,” he said.
“It’s important for me to play for 90 minutes. When I play regularly, I play my best.”

Lampard is a great player and has always been a great one. He needs more playing time this season. AVB must make use of him more often.
