Paul, who missed the Clippers’ last five games because of a strained left hamstring he picked up earlier this month against the Lakers – took part in the team’s shootaround Wednesday and looks well set to play.
“Chris went through shootaround today and he’ll warm up before the game, and we’ll make a decision on exactly where he’s at,” Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said.
“If there are any issues at all then he won’t play, and if he feels good we’ll see if we can get him some minutes, so it will really depend on how he warms up and after talking to him and seeing how he feels.
“He looks good, he felt good. He’s been working out hard. I just want to monitor that. I want to see how he feels before the game.”
When the teams met last, the Clippers were run away winners by a 102-94 result, despite Kobe Bryant scoring 42 points for the Lakers. Paul ended with 33 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals in the win, while Blake Griffin had 22 points and 14 rebounds.
The Lakers (10-8) are coming off a 98-96 defeat against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday – Bryant scoring 33 points in that game – while Clippers (9-5) head into the contest on the back of a 103-91 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Truth be told, I started writing this as I was watching the Lakers alternately lift me up and knock me down in beating the Jazz tonight.
