(Sporting Alert) — College football postseason swings into action again on Monday with several Bowl games, following the holiday festivals.

All games are live on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN3 and ABC

Monday’s action will see teams competing for the TicketCity Bowl, Gator Bowl, Capital One Bowl, Outback Bowl, Rose Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl.

The highlight of the day is expected to come from the Fiesta Bowl which will see No. 3 Oklahoma State facing No. 4 Stanford in Glendale, AZ.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are expected to have a battling contest with Andrew Luck and his Stanford side, which is certain to continue running ball, but Mike Gundy is already prepared.

“Texas was similar in style and play to Stanford. Obviously there was a big difference in quarterback play,” OSU coach Gundy said. “We’re facing what we would all expect to be the number one player picked in the draft.

“But as far as tight ends, some movement fullback play, a lot of power, a lot of counter. Texas would be the one team we faced that was similar.”

Meanwhile, as others draw up special preparations for the postseason bowl competitions Oklahoma State were simply just busy working on the things they’ve been doing right and fixing the wrongs.

“The preparation has been the same,” Gundy said. “Our players have practiced well before the break. We talked about that in Stillwater.

“And then once they have arrived here, we had a couple heavy practices. We backed off a little bit.

“So the preparation has been the same this year as it has been the last few for Bowl games.”

In the meantime, Standford, though very unlikely – will be hoping that Luck will some how rethink his long standing decision to forfeit his final season of eligibility.

“I rode back from practice on the bus and the entire time we were talking, I’m thinking ‘What can I say next to entice him to come back for another year?’ said coach David Shaw.

“I couldn’t think of anything that would have worked anyway.”

Meanwhile, the Rose Bowl will see No. 9 Wisconsin and No. 6 Oregon battling for that title, while Capital One Bowl No. 10 South Carolina taking on No. 21 Nebraska for the Capital One honour.
