(Sporting Alert) — Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will start in Sunday night’s vital NFL clash with the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
Watch Live Coverage will be on NBC Online Player
Romo was doubtful for the contest after injuring his throwing hand on a helmet during the 20-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last Saturday.
However, he has recovered enough to take his place in the starting lineup, but the medical staff will continue to monitor the bruised to make sure that it doesn’t swell up on him again.
The game is one of great importance to both the Cowboys and the Giants, with the winner of tonight’s game earning the NFC East title and win a No. 4 seed.
The loser will be eliminated and the season over.
Meanwhile, defensive end Osi Umenyiora, who was a major doubt for the contest because of an ankle injury, is active for New York Giants.
Jake Ballard is inactive with a knee injury, while wide receiver Mario Manningham is also out with the same problem.
