GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sporting Alert) – The upsets continued on the second full day of game in the NCAA March Madness Basketball tournament on Friday when two No. 2 seeds were sent packing.

No. 15 Norfolk State jumped on Missouri early and then held for the 86-84 upset win over the Tigers, while the Duke Blue Devils – looking shaky all season – were dumped from the tournament by No. 15 Lehigh, which came away with the 75-70 victory.

“You just have to give them a lot of credit,” said the Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski. “ There was some game pressure on them, we came back.

“They seemed to always have the answer.  They were very bold. They were very bold the entire game.

“We started the game tentative and at different times, we seemed very tentative on the offensive end and they were bold throughout.”

But 1 North Carolina 77, had little problems take care of (16) Vermont 58 in the night game and (2) Kansas 65 eased past (15) Detroit 50.

Other notable winners on Friday were (1) Michigan State, which beat (16) LIU Brooklyn89- 67, (11) North Carolina State, who defeated (6) San Diego State 79-65 and (3) Florida State, which just got by (14) St. Bonaventure, 66-63.
