Syracuse edges past Wisconsin – 64-63

Boston, MA (Sporting Alert) — C.J. Fair scored 15 points and seven rebounds and Syracuse held on for a 64-63 victory over Wisconsin as college the basketball tournament resumed on Thursday.

Scoop Jardine had 14 points and four assists and Dion Waiters added 13 points for the top-seeded Orange, which shot 55 percent from the field.

Brandon Triche also ended with 11 points in the win for Syracuse, which also shot 55-percent from 3-point range.

Meanwhile, Jared Berggren and Jordan Taylor both finished with 17 points to lead the Wisconsin Badgers, which just missed stealing the victory at the end, following a failed attempt before the buzzer.
