MILAN (Sporting Alert) — Two of AC Milan superstars will not be playing in the Serie A with the Italian giants next season, if reports circulating in the media are indeed accurate.

According to reports in Italy, AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has claimed that he has sold leading striker and Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as Brazilian defender Thiago Silva to French big spenders Paris St Germain (PSG).

Apparently the Milan big guns will make the move to PSG in a 62million euro (£49m) deal – this after the club announced earlier this summer to the fans that they would be keeping their influential players.

“Yes, I have sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG,” Berlusconi is quoted as saying, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We save 150 million euro over two years.”

Earlier this week PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti claims that the club would not be in the running for want-away Arsenal forward Robin van Persie as he had already figured out his plans.

Milan fans will now be looking to see who will be the new big names that will replaced the stars at the San Siro.
