American superstar sprinter Carmelita Jeter has become the latest track and field athlete to appear in ESPN The Magazine’s The Body Issue.

Video of Carmelita Jeter Talking About The Poses

Jeter, the 2011 World 100m Champion from Daegu, South Korea last summer, like her fellow colleagues prior to her – admits to feeling a little jittery before the poses, but revealed that she was comfortable enough to show her body in such manner.

Jeter, who remains a heavy favourite to win the gold medal over the 100m at the London Olympic Games later on this summer, won that event at the U.S. Olympic trials last month in Eugene, Oregon, and also booked a spot on the 200m team after taking second to Allyson Felix.

The John Smith coached sprinter has the second fastest time in the world this year for 100m at 10.81 – second to Jamaican reigning Olympic champion Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce, who sits a top with 10.70.

Jeter join the likes of Americans Natasha Hastings and Lolo Jones, who have also appeared earlier in issues.
