(Sporting Alert) — Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero start up top for Manchester City in their preseason clash against Besiktas in Austria Friday night.
The Barclays Premier League champions, City, have been struggling to hit the next so far in the warm-ups and manager Roberto Mancini is hoping his team will start building a good scoring form quickly.
Several key players are still being rested, but Mancini has still named a strong starting team for the clash.
Brothers Yaya and Kolo Toure, Adam Johnson and Vincent Kompany are all amongst the starters.
Ivorian 19-year-old midfielder Abdul Razak is also in the starting team and he’s certainly looking to take his chance.
“I will see how it goes and what the manager wants but if the club feels I should go out on loan to gain more experience and playing time I am happy to do so,” Abdul said.
“I had some minutes in the Championship last year and enjoyed it. My main ambition is to play my way into the City first team.
“It is the ambition of all the young players but we know that it is not easy because this is one of the best teams in football.
“That is why we listen and learn on trips like this one to Austria. It will help us all improve.”
