MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Brazil will look for a win to claim its quarter-finals slot in men’s soccer at the London 2012 Olympic Games when they face Belarus at Old Trafford in Manchester.

The gold medal favourites opened with a 3-2 win over Egypt last week, but had some defensive problems in the second half that they hope to fix for tonight’s outing.
With the likes of Neymar, Hulk, captain Thiago Silva and Romulo in the starting team, the balance of attacking and defending are indeed solid for Brazil, which seek its first Olympic gold.
Alexandre Pato has also been handed a starting place, with Leandro Damiao taking his place on the bench.
Chelsea new recruit, Oscar will be the main playmaker in the middle for the Brazilians.
Belarus will also be looking to pick up a win and move into the quarter-finals after they beat New Zealand in their opening group match.
In fact, Belarus dominated the possession in that game and will be seeking some of the same against a very strong Brazil side.
