Torres returned to training this week, following the Euro 2012 tournament and after missing the MLS All-Stars game, the forward is set come on as a sub in the game which is being played at the Sun Life Stadium here in Miami.
“The last game in Philadelphia was too early for me and I am sure I will have some minutes tomorrow,” Torres told Chelsea official website at www.chelseafc.com.
“The first game is difficult to find your legs but I am looking forward to it, to play against a great team who is also ready for a great season.
“It is going to be a good test for us. The result against MLS is not the most important thing but we have to be ready to improve now.
“It’s very important from now and we will see what we can do. We are ready and really looking forward to it, especially because we’ve seen the love of the fans here in Miami, and we hope people come to see us and see a good spectacle.”
Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard, Ramires and Raul Meireles are all part of the attacking line, with David Luiz and John Terry marshaling things at the back, with the returning Petr Cech, who starts in goal.
Romelu Lukaku will lead the attack as the central forward.
AC Milan will continue life without Brazilian defender Thiago Silva and Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who both moved to French big spender PSG.
Massimo Ambrosini, Mathieu Flamini, Kevin Prince-Boateng and Stephen El Shaarawy all start for Milan with Antonio Cassano amongst the substitutes.
