OLYMPICS: Medals count after end of Day Two – July 29

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — A total of 82 medals have been collected overall after day two of the London 2012 Olympic Games here on Sunday.

Leading the way are China, who head the medal standings with 12, including six golds, to go along with their four silver and two bronze.

They had a productive day on Sunday – winning two gold and four silver on day two.

The United States, as expected begin to move closer to the top and are now second with 11 medals. The Americans have three gold medals. Italy are third with seven total medals, including two gold, while South Korea are fourth with five medals, two of which are golds, while the top five is rounded off by France, which have four total medals – two gold of which are golds.
