PARIS (Sporting Alert) — Barcelona continued their good form this preseason after the Spanish giants beat fellow big spenders Paris Saint-Germain from the French league in a warm up game on Saturday night in Paris.

Both teams played to a 2-2 draw in regular time, but Barcelona won the match on penalties.

Barcelona took a 2-0 lead through Rafinha, who controlled and finished well from a pass by Alexis Sanchez and Lionel Messi, who netted from the penalty spot.

However, PSG came back in the contest when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored from the penalty spot and Zoumana Camara headed home a corner kick nine-minutes from time.

Barcelona were then lethal in the shoot out with Messi, Cesc Fagregas, Xavi and Gerard Pique all scoring.

PSG were not the same on the night though with the Barcelona keeper saving the first two shots.

Barcelona will now turn their attention to playing Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side on Aug 8.

Both teams promised to field strong line-ups.
