LONDON (Sporting Alert) — The following are all the games that will take place on the opening day of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League new season on Saturday August 17.
Arsenal are amongst seven teams that will be in action on opening day kick-off, as they take on Sunderland at Emirates Stadium.
With former captain and top striker Robin van Persie departing to join Gunners’ arch rivals Manchester United, Arsene Wenger will be hoping his new look sign can put those moments behind and start with a win.
Another interesting game on the schedule is that between Newcastle United against Tottenham at Sports Direct Arena.
