MIAMI (Sporting Alert) – His superb performances at the just concluded London 2012 Olympic Games continue to be overshadowed by speculations that the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt is on dope.

Following the comments made by American legend Carl Lewis about Bolt and his fellow Jamaicans performances at the Games, CBSChicago.com columnist, Dan Bernstein add his say in the debate, claiming that “Usain Bolt Is Probably Doping.”

He writes: “Anyone wasting words extolling the greatness of Usain Bolt should know better.

….”What are the odds that a tiny, island country suddenly dominates global competition…just because?

“Bolt reportedly has been working with Angel Hernandez, too. Hernandez used to be called Angel Heredia, back when he was a chemist for BALCO and later “Source A,” who supplied the documents that helped convict Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery, C.J. Hunter and Justin Gatlin. Gatlin just took bronze in the 100, behind Bolt and Blake.

His comments have angered many track and field fans, who believes it is unnecessary to accuse the lanky Jamaican, who has been so promising since age 15, when he won the world junior 200m title on his home soil in Kingston, Jamaica.

Of course Bolt has shockingly improved way beyond anyone’s imagination over the 100m since his introduction to the event prior to the Olympic Games in 2008.

However, Bleacher reporter featured columnist, believes it is “Foolish to Paint Track Icon as Cheater.”

Bolt was again sensational in London – winning three gold medals on his way to defending his sprint double title. He also ran anchor on the Jamaican 4x100m relay team which set a new world record and became the first team to break the 37 seconds barrier.

Bolt led a 1-2-3 Jamaican finish in the men’s 200m, where training partners Yohan Blake and Warren Weir finished behind him.

Why is it that it’s only americans that are making these allegation & suspicions. We heard nothing like this when Justin Gatlin & Sean Crawford were giving chest bumps, nor when Maurice Greene was licking his toungue & saying he’s the greatest.
Until Bolt test positive for some kinda dope, they all need to lay off him & give him his due.
The man is the greastest sprinter the word has ever seen; barring none. America has a culture of drug use amongst it’s athletes. Jamaican athletes suffered at the hands of american drug cheats for many years. My heart goes out to Merlene Ottey who encountered four generation of america drugist. From Florence Griffith Joyner(flo jo) through to Marion Jones, and others bewteen that. Now the playing field is levelled they are getting beat & they can’t take it.
I say to Bolt “the world is yours my son, keep breaking records & KEEP THEM TALKING”.
