(Sporting Alert) — Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo could hand summer signings Eden Hazard and Oscar their Chelsea Barclays Premier League debuts in Sunday’s opening clash with Wigan at DW Stadium.
Oscar joined Chelsea in the summer, but missed the preseason fixtures, following his duties with Brazil U23 team at the Olympic Games in London and Di Matteo could give him his first taste of Premier League action on Sunday.
Hazard has been impressive since his move this summer and the boss is almost certain to start him.
However, fellow new recruit Marko Marin will miss the game because of a hamstring injury he picked up during preseason.
Wigan, in the meantime, will check on new signing Ivan Ramis, who also has a hamstring problem and remains doubtful for the game.
