Terry starts: Chelsea vs Juventus Teams

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Chelsea defender and captain John Terry has been cleared to starts in his team’s opening Champions League Group E clash against Juventus at Stamford Bridge tonight.

The England international had been doubtful for the contest because of and injury, but he’s passed the fitness test and has been included in the starting team.

Also starting tonight is Brazilian summer recruit Oscar, while Eden Hazard, Ramires, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole also start.

Fernando Torres will lead the attack for the defending champions Chelsea, which have the likes of Juan Mata, Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Victor Moses all on the bench.

Meanwhile, for Juventus, Andrea Pirlo and Giorgio Chiellini are both in the starting team.

Juventus: Gianluigi Buffon will lead from the back for a Juventus side that has proven been difficult to defeat in over 40 domestic games.

Juventus: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah, Giovinco, Vucinic. Subs: Storari, Lucio, Giaccherini, Quagliarella, Matri, Isla, Marrone.
