It’s Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi For Another Award Again, And Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger Says The Barcelona Forward Should Win The Ballon d’Or.

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger says Lionel Messi deserves to win the Ballon d’Or based on his outstanding achievements this year.

The Argentina captain and Barcelona striker heads a list of three players, which also includes Cristiano Ronaldo and club mate Andres Iniesta down nominated for the award and many pundits are tipping the scoring machine to reclaim the honor.

Iniesta and Ronaldo have both had an impressive year as well, but it’s Messi’s “outrageous” campaign that got the vote of the Arsenal boss.

“It’s very difficult. For the class, Messi [should win it],” the Gunners manager said on Arsenal official website at www.arsenal.com.

“He’s scored 76 goals in one year. It looks just outrageous to me. Therefore it would be one thing to reward something exceptional.

“Ronaldo has always been there and he deserves it as well. He won the Spanish championship. Iniesta won the European Championship with the national team and therefore, you could reward him.

“I’m not a big fan of these things. If you judge purely on class, you judge Messi.

“If you want the achievement of the year, you would choose Ronaldo and maybe Iniesta in second. That’s how I see it.”
