Will Nani Contract Row With Manchester United Pave The Way For An Arsenal Move In January?

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Nani is a shocking transfer target for Arsenal as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks to bring in some fresh blood in January.

Nani has been the center of a transfer move from Old Trafford since the beginning of the summer and reports are that the Portugal international has again failed to workout his future with the Premier League leaders.

Arsenal manager Wenger is in the same boat with Theo Walcott, who has been tipped to leave the club either in January or during the summer transfer window.

Walcott is yet to agree on a new deal with Arsenal and Wenger is growing frustrated with the England international, who is apparently still looking for a better deal from the club.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with the 23-year-old and Wenger is prepared to make a bid for the out of favour Nani, who according to the Daily Mail, is valued at £20m.

With Antonio Valencia cementing his place as the starting right winger, the inconsistent form of Nani has seen him slowly becoming just a rotation player who, unlike fellow Countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, has not quite developed into the world class player United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was hoping he would have turned out to be.

Nani was on the bench and was a late substitute for the Arsenal vs Manchester United Premier League game, despite his reported burst up with Ferguson, who blast the winger for his mistake that contributed to Chelsea beating Manchester United in the Capitol One Cup fixture in October.

He also started in the Champions League win over Sporting Braga before picking up an injury that put him on the sidelines since early November.
