The home side has a 1-0 lead and it took them just 63-seconds to send the packed stands at Goodison Park buzzing after Steven Pienaar fired home from a Victor Anichebe rebound header.
Everton continue to press for a second and almost got another with Nikica Jelavic watching his free-kick coming off the post. Leon Osman also forced Petr Cech to make a brilliant save as well in the 26th minute.
Everton are very tough to beat at home and they are showing just that.
