MADRID (Sporting Alert) – Real Madrid scored an early goal against Real Sociedad as the Spanish La Liga resumes on Sunday, but the champions have also lost goalkeeper Antonio Adan, who has been sent off in the opening minutes of the game.

And to be honest, it was avery poor challenge from the Adan
Manager Jose Mourinho had decided on starting Adan again and leave his regular first choice Iker Casillas on the bench, but was forced to call on the Spanish No. 1 and his team captain after the starting keeper picked up a red card in the fifth minute.
The sending off of Adan did not help either after Real Sociedad was awarded a penalty kick, which Xabi Prieto stepped up to send the sluggish and shaky looking Casillas the wrong way.
Carlos Vela drew a foul on Adan in the penalty area, which saw the keeper got sent off.
Earlier, Karim Benzema gave Real Madrid the lead and it looked like Mourinho’s side was ready to start the new year with a big win.
However, they have been pegged back by the equaliser by a Sociedad team ready to pounce at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Callejon, Mesut Ozil, Michael Essien and Raphael Varane were all amongst the starters for Madrid, although replaces Callejón had to make way for his skipper.
