Howard was forced to leave the game early with a shoulder injury during his team’s 106-93 defeat at the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, but D’Antoni has revealed the All-Star center will start tonight.
“He just reinjured the shoulder a little bit,” D’Antoni said.
The LA Lakers (17-25) are on a very poor run in the league this season – losing four straight and star guard Kobe Bryant, who leads the NBA in scoring, has admitted to becoming more and more frustrated to walk off the court night-after-night as the losing team.
“It’s just disappointing to lose, period,” said Bryant. “We just have to go back to work and work a little harder.”
The Los Angeles Lakers have dropped 10 of its last 12 games.
“I do think they play as hard as they can play, and that’s what’s scary,” D’Antoni said. “I mean I don’t know how we can play harder or blame something else.”
The Utah Jazz (23-19) are coming off a 92-88 victory over the Washington Wizards and have won four games in a row.
Utah has won 8 of its last 10 games.
