Boston, Massachusetts (Sporting Alert) — Star point guard Rajon Rondo is a late scratch from the Boston Celtics team that will take on defending champions Miami Heat at TD Garden on Sunday.
Rondo misses the game because of a hyperextended knee, the Celtics said, so Courtney Lee will start in his place.
Lee will start alongside Avery Bradley at the guard positions.
Rookie Jared Sullinger and Paul Pierce play at the forward, while Kevin Garnett continues his duties at center.
Meanwhile Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem start for the defending champions Miami Heat.
The game will see former Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen going up against his old teammates playing with Miami.
