Venue: Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit
Date: Wednesday 30 January
Start: 12:00 ET
Coverage: Live TV coverage on Eurosport and ITV
Both teams have one win and a defeat in Group D and head into the contest fully alive.
Togo holds a slight advantage, however, as the Emmanuel Adebayor has a better goal difference and any kind of draw would see them going through to the quarterfinals.
However, Togo head coach Didier Six has dismissed playing defensively and hold out for the tie.
“I don’t have a team which plays defensive football, the spirit of my players on the pitch is to win,” said Six.
“Yes, mathematically, we need only one point, but the reality of our football is not to be content with that. We’ll be going for the win.
“This is an extraordinary day for Togo.
“We must not hide from the reality that this is the group of death, and now we have a chance to progress on Tuesday.
“The Tunisians have solid experience, they’ve been to many Nations Cups. We’ll do our best to succeed, but it’s going to be hard.”
Meanwhile, Youssef Msakni will be checked on before the game as the Tunisia player is suffering from angina.
Tunisia must win to advance.
“All the team are fine, except Msakni, who had quite a strong case of angina,” head coach Samir Trabelsi said.
“He trained alone with the doctor when we arrived here (on Sunday). For Monday’s session he trained with a group of injured players.
“But I’m not worried about him.”
