MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney will lead the Manchester United attack against Everton in today’s Barclays Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson says he will make changes to his side for the coming two fixtures, but after seeing Manchester City losing to Southampton on Saturday, the Manchester United boss wants to extend the lead in the EPL standings to 12 points with a win.
Phil Jones, who had been reportedly ruled out for six weeks, starts in midfield today alongside Tom Cleverley and Ryan Giggs, but there was no Michael Carrick, who only starts on the bench.
Antonio Valencia starts as well, while Jonny Evans and Nemanja Vidic will be the center-backs today for leaders Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Marouane Fellaini has handed Everton a boost as he is fit to start and will look to torment Ferguson’s side once again.
