LODNON (Sporting Alert) — QPR manager Harry Redknapp has handed debuts to deadline day transfers Christopher Samba and Andros Townsend for today’s English Premier League clash with the visiting Norwich City.
Samba, who joins the team to strengthen the back line, goes straight in for the depart Ryan Nelsen, while Townsend has also started the game.
Another new recruit, midfielder Jermaine Jenas, who signed former Tottenham as well, starts on the bench, while big money striker Loic Remy misses the game because of an injury. QPR are still sitting at the bottom of the Premier League standings.
Meanwhile, Norwich named an unchanged from the team that drew 1-1 in midweek against Tottenham, which means new signing Luciano Becchio, who joined from Championship side Leeds, starts on the bench.
