(Sporting Alert) — Manchester City are without midfielder Yaya Toure for today’s Barclays Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
Toure, the club reports, is suffering from migraine and will miss the game as Manchester City look to trim Manhester United’s lead at the top of the standings to nine-points.
Meanwhile, Carlos Tevez, who was doubtful for the game has recovered and will start alongside Edin Dzeko in the attack.
James Milner, Gareth Barry and Javier Garcia all start as well, with Rony Lopes, Scott Sinclair and Samir Nasri amongst the substitutes.
Everton, in the meantime, have dropped captain Phil Neville to the bench, after he started in the FA Cup battering against Wigan last week. Striker Nikica Jelavic is also sent back to the bench.
Leon Osman will captain the team today with Neville on the bench, while Victor Anichebe starts up front and is expected to get help from Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar.
American goalkeeper Tim Howard remains out injured as well so Jan Mucha continues between the sticks.
