Tiger Woods wins Arnold Palmer invite, reclaims world no.1 ranking

ORLANDO, FL (Sporting Alert) — Tiger Woods won the  weather-delayed Arnold Palmer Golf Invitational in Orlando on Monday to reclaim the No. 1 spot in the world ranking.

Woods, resuming play in the lead in Florida after Sunday’s action was washout, held on of a two-shot victory and marched back to the top of the world for the first time since October 2010.

The American, who shot a 2-under par 70 for a 275 total stroke to beat Justin Rose, who finished with a 277 total – by two strokes -successfully defended his title and lift his eighth title at Bay Hill.

Mark Wilson (280), Keegan Bradley (280) and Gonzalo Fdez-Castano (280) completed the top five finishers.

Vijay Singh, who shot +6 in the final round was tied for 57th a 292 total stroke, while Lee Westwood tied for 63rd with 293.
