LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Brazil were again held in a friendly international after playing to a 1-1 draw with Russia at Stamford Bridge in London on Monday night.

Russia will consider themselves unlucky to not have won the game as they dominated the five-time World Cup champions from the opening whistle and should have scored more than just one goal.
After pressuring the Brazilians for a major part of the game, Victor Fayzulin finally gave the Russians the lead when he fired home from inside the box, this after his teammates failed to capitalised on the earlier chances leading up to the goal.
However, Fred, who scored the opener against Italy, netted the equalizer for Brazil when he finished off a fine combination by Hulk and Marcelo down the left hand side in the 90th minute.
Brazil were held 2-2 by Italy last week, after taking a 2-0 half-time lead.
The Russians, in the meantime, remained undefeated in eight straight games under new manager Fabio Capello.
