BROOKLYN (Sporting Alert) — NBA standings, as well as the NBA scores, results and records from the games that took place in the league on Thursday night, Feb. 6.
At the ORACLE Arena in Oakland, Stephen Curry scored a game-high 34 points and dished out nine assists in the Golden State Warriors’ 102-87 win over the Chicago Bulls.
Curry went 13 of 19 from the floor, including 4 of 6 from three-point range in the victory, while shooting guard Klay Thompson had 22 points for Golden State (30-20).
Marreese Speights and Jordan Crawford each had 11 points for the hosts.
In the meantime, Taj Gibson had 26 points and 13 rebound for the Chicago Bulls (24-25), who are 5-5 in the last 10 games and .490 in the standings.
Kirk Hinrich scored 15 points and Jimmy Butler added 14 points and nine rebounds in the defeat. Carlos Boozer missed the game for the Bulls with a calf problem.
Meanwhile, the victory sees the Warriors staying in the hunt for a playoffs place in the Western Conference, while becoming one of the eight teams to score at least 30 wins this season in the NBA standings.
In the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Nets pulled away late to score a 103-89 victory over the short-handed San Antonio Spurs.
Alan Anderson scored 22 points, 19 of which came in the second half on his way to pacing the Nets (22-25) in the win off the bench.
Deron Williams added 16 points and eight assists and Paul Pierce finished with 12 points and seven boards as Brooklyn stopped a six-game skid against San Antonio.
Cory Joseph scored 18 points, Danny Green had 17 points and eight rebounds and Patty Mills added 16 points in the defeat for the Spurs.
San Antonio played without Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard who are injured, Tim Duncan, who was rested and Boris Diaw, after he missed the game because of food poisoning.
San Antonio (36-14) is 3 1/2 games behind Oklahoma City in the Western Conference standings, while Brooklyn is seventh in the Eastern Conference.
