LONDON (Sporting Alert) – Arsenal will have its hands full on Wednesday against fellow English Premier League side Swansea City in the FA Cup third-round replay at Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger will be without several key players, including the injured Mikel Arteta, as he tries to get the better of Swansea team, currently playing as the surprised package of the season so far.

Defender Laurent Koscielny is also suspended and he will miss the game as well, following his red card in the defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, while Tomas Rosicky is still out injured.

“We have Koscielny suspended for tomorrow night and everybody else will be available,” Wenger said on the Gunners official club website at Arsenal.com. “He will be replaced in the squad by [Andrey] Arshavin.”

He added: “Rosicky is still out. He has a little calf problem.

“I wanted to involve him tomorrow night, but it’s too short.”

Wenger commented on Arteta: “Arteta’s injury could be shorter than three weeks because it’s a minor calf strain. It’s a light grade one so it could be quicker than three weeks.

“Mikel Arteta is an important player. First of all, he’s a good player, a tactically intelligent player, and a winner. He has three important qualities that you miss when you don’t have him.

“It’s not in that area that we made the mistakes on Sunday. We want to dominate more at home defensively. City have good players up front.

“They are very dangerous but even when you miss Arteta, that doesn’t explain why we were 2-0 down on Sunday.”

The Swansea and Arsenal scores were 2-2 in the first leg and a very fresh Olivier Giroud is being backed as safe odds to lead the struggling Gunners to victory.

Swansea attacker Michu is also in good form and he, alongside Danny Graham are also good bets to score for the visitors, following their scoring outing in the first game.

Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Gibbs, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Sagna, Podolski, Cazorla Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wilshere, Walcott, Mannone, Coquelin, Santos, Jenkinson, Diaby, Giroud, Arshavin.

Swansea squad: Vorm, Bartley, Flores, Williams, Britton, Lita, Michu, Graham, Hernandez, Dyer, Routledge, Monk, Shechter, Moore, De Guzman, Tiendalli, Rangel, Ki, Tremmel, Agustien, Gower, Richards, Davies.
