The Associated Press said on Thursday on that the team has not announced the decision, but it is understood McCaffrey will miss the game. The Panthers (3-4) were hoping to have McCaffrey back for this game after the star back missed the last five games with a high ankle sprain,

Mike Davis, who had 149 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in the Panthers’ 23-16 win over the Falcons when they met on Oct. 11, will continue to start at running back.

Meanwhile, defensive end Takk McKinley has been ruled out for the Atlanta Falcons (1-6).

McKinley will sit miss the encounter with a groin injury.

It will mark the fourth game in the past six weeks McKinley has had to sit out because of the injury and did not practiced this week. He had limited impact in recent times, having had just one tackle in last week’s 23-22 loss to Detroit.
