College Football Bowl Games Scores on Dec. 16

MIAMI, FL – Final results and scores from the college football bowl games played on Saturday, December 16.

At Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Cedric Wilson caught 10 passes for a career-high 221 yards and a touchdown and No. 25 Boise State stifled the offense of Oregon to land a 38-28 win the Las Vegas Bowl.

The Broncos, who are now 3-0 in the all-time series against the Ducks, improved to 12-6 in program history in bowl games, while Oregon fell to 13-18 in this category.

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

At the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Brandon Silvers threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns and senior running back Josh Anderson rushed for a career-best 113 yards with a pair of scores and Troy beat North Texas 50-30 in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Damion Willis caught 11 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns and Tevaris McCormick had five receptions for 107 yards and a score for the Trojans in the win.

Mason Fine passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns in the defeat for the North Texas Mean Green.

AutoNation Cure Bowl

Georgia State defeated Western Kentucky 27-17 to secure the 2017 AutoNation Cure Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

Conner Manning completed 20 of 28 passes without an interception for 276 yards and a touchdown for Georgia State, which was grabbing its first-ever bowl-game victory.

Roger Carter caught eight passes for 85 yards and a touchdown, while Demarcus Kirk and Kyler Neal each ran for the score for the Panthers, who evened this all-time series at 1-1.

Mike White threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns for Western Kentucky, while Deon Yelder had five catches for 112 yards and a pair of TDs.


In other scores on Saturday, North Carolina A&T tops Grambling 21-14 to lift the Celebration Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, while the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl went to Middle Tennessee after its 35-30 victory over Arkansas State in Montgomery, Ala.

Elsewhere, the New Mexico Bowl was won by Marshall, which beat Colorado State 31-28 in Albuquerque.
