DORTMUND (Sporting Alert) — English Premier League target Robert Lewandowski was on the scoresheet as Borussia Dortmund defeated Nurnberg 3-0 at Signal Iduna Park in the German Bundesliga on Friday.
The victory saw Borussia Dortmund drawing level on points with Bayer Leverkusen with 36pts, with leaders Bayern Munich nine-points clear on 45pts with a game in hand.
Jakub Blaszczykowski gave the defending champions the lead in the 18th minute from the penalty spot, before doubling the score three-minutes later after finishing off well from a Mario Gotze pass for a half-time 2-0 lead.
Lewandowski then put the game beyond reach when he fired home powerfully two-minutes from time after he was played in by Marco Reus.
Lewandowski remains one of the hottest prospects for a number of English Premier League teams, including EPL leaders Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Poland international has said though that he is happy with his current situation with Borussia Dortmund and wasn’t looking to make a move in the near future.
