15 Feb 2013 – (Sporting Alert) — Following the exciting action in the Champions League and Europa League in midweek, domestic league football fixtures take focus again on Friday.
Amongst the highlighted games on Friday, are the Serie A clash between AC Milan and Parma and the German Bundesliga game involving leaders Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.
Former Manchester City forward and Italian star Mario Balotelli has had a productive start to his return to the Serie A and the controversial striker will again look to get his name on the scoresheet for AC Milan tonight.
A win for Milan over Parma on Friday would see the Rossoneri moving up to fourth place and over take Inter Milan and stay in contention for a Champions League place, after a disappointing start to the season.
Milan are coming off a 1-1 draw with the struggling Cagliari, a game Balotelli scored in again and head coach Massimiliano Allegri has told his team to quickly bounce back.
“We have to understand that tomorrow’s game is one of those that has to be won,” he told acmilan.com.
“We’ve conceded too many goals from dead-ball situations and we have to improve. We’ll work on it in training but we’ve conceded too many headed goals.”
Meanwhile, German leaders Bayern Munich can pull even further ahead of defending champions Borussia Dortmund with a victory over 12th place Wolfsburg on the road.
