GOAL-SCORERS: Top La Liga scorers on Sunday, Sept. 16

MADRID (Sporting Alert) – Lionel Messi leads the scoring chart in the Spanish La Liga with six goals after netting two more on Saturday.

The Barcelona forward was left on the bench for the start of Saturday’s game against Getafe, but came on a second half substitute to score twice in the 4-1 away win.

Tomer Hemed of Real Mallorca is next on the list with four goals after scoring the equaliser in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Osasuna.

A number of others, including Radamel Falcao of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain are on three goals, while the likes of David Villa (Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), and Roberto Soldado (Valencia), are all on two goals apiece.
