LIVERPOOL (Sporting Alert) — Young striker Raheem Sterling starts once again for Liverpool in the Barclays Premier League clash against champions Manchester City at Anfield.
Sterling is part of a three man attacking line with Luis Suarez and Fabio Borini also starting alongside the youngster.
Manager Brendon Rodgers named a very strong team for the clash with captain Steven Gerrard amongst the starters this afternoon as well.
Joe Allen and Lucas also play in the midfield, with the likes of Sebastian Coates and Martin Skrtel heading up the backline.
Amongst those on the bench for Liverpool are Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Jamie Carragher.
Manchester City, in the meantime, are without last year’s top scorer Sergio Aguero, but with Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli, the champions still have lots of firepower to trouble the hosts.
Lots of attention will will also be on the likes of Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri, who are both on pretty good form.
David Silva and Jack Rodwell is amongst those on the bench.
