Magic Top Wizards 130-120 Despite Westbrook’s Triple-Double

Westbrook Triple-Double Not Enough For Wizards

Nikola Vucevic finished with a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds and dished out three assists with two steals as well for the Magic.

Bradley Beal finished with 39 points, seven rebounds, and five assists and Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals in the defeat for the Wizards (0-2) who have dropped both games to start the season.

With his triple-double on Saturday, Westbrook became the fourth player in NBA history to register a triple-double in his team’s first two games. He is also the first player to achieve the feat with a new team.

Terrence Ross shot 9 of 14 from the field with three 3-pointers, while Markelle Fultz added 21 points on 7 of 13 shooting with seven assists and four rebounds.

MAGIC at WIZARDS | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Aaron Gordon ended with 15 points, nine rebounds, and three assists for Orlando (2-0) which has won both games to start the season.

Evan Fournier had 13 points and five rebounds as the Magic shot 50.5% and made 48 shots from 25 assists.

Thomas Bryant shot an efficient 8 of 11 overall and made three 3-pointers to finished with 19 points and five boards, while Raul Neto scored 11 and Isaac Bonga ended with 10 for Washington.

The Wizards shot 48.4% on 46 of 95 shooting, while going 13 for 37 from 3-pointers.

Orlando and the Wizards will complete their back-to-back matchup in Washington on Sunday.
