Efe Ambrose, Juwon Oshaniwa, Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo will form a very solid back-four for the Super Eagles, with John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses starting in midfield in what seems like a 4-5-1 formation.

Emmanuel Emenike has been selected as the lone striker this evening, with Ejike Uzoenyi, Peter Odemwingie and Shola Ameobi all on the bench.

Iran will be hoping to spring a surprise on Nigeria and secure the three points, as Reza Ghoochannejhad, Ehsan Haji Safi, Javad Nekounam, Andranik Timotian and Ashkan Dejagah were all named in the starting lineup by head coach Carlos Queiroz.

Iran comes into the tournament without any real expectations of making it beyond the group stage and Queiroz is happy that his team is under the radar, which means the players can now just go out and play football.
