Duke (2-1) heads into the contest leading the all-time series 5-2 with the Blue Devils winning the last encounter 79-66 in the Maui Invitational semis in 2007.

Sophomore forward Matthew Hurt is pacing Duke with 19.0 points and 8.7 per game, while shooting 54.1%.

Freshman Jalen Johnson averages 13.0 points and 8.7 rebounds and fellow rookie DJ Steward is putting out 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Blue Devils, who are scoring 75.3 points per game and allowing 66.7.

Illinois (3-1) comes into the game looking to rebound from the 82-69 defeat against No. 2 Baylor in the Jimmy V Classic last Wednesday.

The Fighting Illini had won their first three games to the start the season before falling to the Bears, who are no doubt one of the best teams currently in the country.

Illinois is scoring 91.3 points per game, which is 23rd highest in the nation and allowing just 63.8 at the other end.

The Big Ten outfits are ranked 4th this season in rebounds per game with 49.3 per outing, while dishing out 19.3 assists per games, tied for 30th in the nation.

Junior Ayo Dosunmu leads Illinois with 28.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, while Adam Miller is scoring 14.5 points and Kofi Cockburn is averaging 13.0 points and 9.8 rebounds this season.

Duke has won 19 of the 21 games in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge games since the event began 21 years ago. Blues Devils legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski brings to this game a 107 all-time record against ranked teams since 2003.
