Phoenix, AZ (Sporting Alert) — Los Angeles Clippers leading point guard Chris Paul will sit out Thursday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center because of an injury.
Paul, who missed the 97-109 defeat at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, will miss the game against the Suns because of a persistent pain from a bruise right kneecap.
Los Angeles Daily News reports that the All-Star point guard could be out indefinitely.
“We’ll hold him out and see how he feels the next couple of days,” Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro was quoted as saying.
“There’s no timetable. Maybe in a week, I’m not sure what it’s going to be right now.”
Eric Bledsoe will again start for the LA Clippers (32-11)
The Los Angeles Clippers will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats this week after, losing at Golden State on Monday before suffering another defeat at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
They face a Phoenix (14-28) side coming into the contest with a win over the Sacramento Kings, but has dropped seven of its last ten games.
