WROCLAW (Sporting Alert) — Roman Pavlyuchenko came off the bench to score the pick of the goals for Russia in their dominating 4-1 victory over the Czech Republic in their Euro 2012 Group A clash at the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw.

The forward dazzled his way past his markers into the box before firing a bullet past Petr Cech into the roof of the net for Russia’s fourth goal.
Before that, Alan Dzagoev netted in the 15th minute and Roman Shirokov scored in the 24th to give Russia a 2-0 lead at half-time.
However, Vaclav Pilar beat the offside trap to pull one back in the 52nd minute for the Czech Republic, before Alan Dzagoev’s 79th made it 3-1 and then Pavlyuchenko’s 82nd strike.
The win puts Russia on top of Group A with three points, two more than Poland and Greece, who drew 1-1 in the opening game of the tournament, earlier.
